The oldest living rose

In the greek mythology they say that Aphrodite, the goddess of love created the rose from her tears and from the blood of her lover Adonis. Adonis was stuck by a wild boar and Aphrodite tries to save Adonis but cut herself on the thorns of a rose bush, her blood coloured the roses and created the first red rose. 

In roman mythology, their goddess Venus (greek mythology’s Aphrodite), Romans made this flower a symbol of beauty and love. The son of Venus (Cupid) was stung by a bee when he was shooting arrows in a garden full of roses. When Venus was walking in the garden, she got a thorn in her foot, it turned the roses red. 
They say that the oldest living rose in the world is located on the wall of the Hildesheim Cathedral in Germany,
